How the Hynes Lakeview PTO Turned Generosity Into Impact

When families and community members give to the Hynes Lakeview PTO, those contributions do more than fund school events — they help build the future of our campus. Over the past decade, PTO donations have supported projects totaling more than $589,000, with every dollar going directly into enhancing the safety, experience, and joy of our students’ daily lives.

Where the Money Goes

The list of completed projects is long. From security upgrades to a complete transformation of the early childhood play yard, these improvements touch nearly every corner of our campus:

  • Campus Security: Multiple rounds of security camera installations have helped ensure a safe environment for students and staff.
  • Play Yard Enhancements: A new play structure and protective bark were added to enrich outdoor experiences and improve safety.
  • PreK–K Yard Revamp: Two major upgrades brought vibrant, age-appropriate spaces to our youngest learners.
  • New Basketball & Tennis Court: A multi-use court provides expanded opportunities for play, athletics, and school-wide events.
  • Gym Improvements: Padded walls and a new sound system made the gym safer and more dynamic for sports, assemblies, and performances.
  • New Awnings and Fencing: These additions improved shade, weather protection, and safety across multiple outdoor areas.

To make these projects a reality, Hynes also contributed $39,723 from the school’s general fund to cover additional expenses. The result? A campus that’s safer, more engaging, and more fun for every student.
